ANOTHER GREAT WEEK WITH OUR ANGELS!

Students are starting to really get comfortable in their learning spaces and the excitement is over flowing in the classrooms.  Students have been engaged in lots of learning activities that have them expanding their thinking in new and exciting ways!  We are so proud of our Angels who have transitioned so well back into the regular routine of school life.  Keep smiling Angels!

MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT

Please join us on Tuesday from 5:30-7 for a chance to meet your child’s teacher and to enjoy dinner together as a family!  We are excited to show you some of the changes that have taken place at St. Michael over the summer as well!  The evening will have the teachers available from 5:30-6:15pm in their classrooms.  Drop by to see the classroom and the great student work that is already taking place.  Starting at 6pm – pizza will be sold for your family to enjoy dinner together.  Pizza will be selling for $2.00 per slice or $15.00 for a full family sized pizza.  Juice boxes and water will also be available for 50 cents each.  Smiles are always free!  In addition to pizza there will be an ice cream truck on-site for those of you that have a sweet tooth and maybe a special visit from our fire department as well!  We hope to see you there!

CRITICAL MEDICAL ALERT

If your child/ren has a Critical Medical Alert that we need to be made aware of, please contact the office immediately.  We will want to set up a time to discuss the concerns and ensure that we have a plan in place to care for your child.

Please ensure that all forms that were sent home at the beginning of the year are handed in to your classroom teacher as soon as possible.  These forms are of the utmost importance for the security and safety of all of our student.  Thank you in advance for your support.

SCENTS IN SCHOOLS

Exposure to perfumes and other scented products can trigger very serious health reactions in individuals with asthma, allergies, migraines or multiple chemical sensitivities. The health effects of fragrances – ranging in severity from mild to debilitating – can include: headaches, migraines, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath and wheezing. For some people, especially those with asthma and other respiratory disorders, exposure to fragrances can trigger the need for emergency medical treatment.

Perfumes and colognes are considered the most concentrated form of fragrance, however fragrances can be found in a wide range of products including soaps, shampoos, deodorants, hairsprays and cosmetics.  To protect our students and staff with chemical sensitivities, I am asking for your cooperation in helping to create a ‘fragrance sensitive environment.  Please avoid wearing scented personal care products such as perfume, cologne, aftershave, scented lotions or creams for the body, face or hands. Most brands have fragrance-free products available.  Thank you for helping to create a safe and healthy environment for everyone. If you have any questions, please contact the main office.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!
