Wednesday is PINK SHIRT Day!
Don’t forget to wear PINK on Wednesday:
Celebrated annually around the globe, Pink Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007.
A student at a school in Nova Scotia was teased for wearing a pink polo shirt to school. The next day, students at the school all wore pink shirts in solidarity and support for him.
Pink Shirt Day is now celebrated as a way to spread kindness and acceptance. On Wednesday, February 24 everyone across the Waterloo Catholic District School Board is encouraged to wear pink to promote a message of inclusion.
Wear pink on Wednesday, Angels, and let’s start the beginning of Lent with a message of kindness and love.
